Keller Creek Restoratation Celebration

Keller Creek Restoration Celebration
Wednesday, July 13, 6:00-8:00 PM
Keller Lake Regional Park, Golfview Picnic Area, Maplewood (map)

Join Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed staff and volunteers to celebrate the accomplishments made by many community members along Keller Creek. It's year two in our restoration of the habitats along the creek.

The restoration, designed to create a pollinator corridor to connect the Phalen Chain of Lakes, is coming along nicely and we want to celebrate!

Highlights include:

6:30 pm Wildflower walk led by our Natural Resources Technician, Simba Blood
7:00 pm Audubon bird watch

Ongoing activities:
  • Creek monitoring led by the East Metro Water Resources Program staff (EMWREP)
  • Canoeing/kayaking (Bring your own!  Park at the Phalen Boat launch and navigate north on the creek to the celebration point!)
  • Ice cream
  • Dip-net instruction to look at aquatic bugs
  • Urban Boatbuilders showing their (water)craft.
  • And more!

Park in the Golfview Picnic Area parking lot above the restoration area and walk down the hill to the creek which runs along the path. Meet at the weir bridge for the plant walk which begins at 6:30 PM.
